Yes. You can place the order now and send your logo when it’s ready. When you order online there’s a “Send it later” option at the logo step, and for bigger orders we set it up the same way by email. Nothing gets branded until you’ve seen a visual of your logo on the garment and approved it.
The bit worth thinking about is the stock.
A call we had recently
Someone rang about Regatta Dover waterproof jackets for her team. Her organisation was partway through a rebrand, so the new logo didn’t exist yet. The money was grant funding that had to be spent soon. She wanted to know if she could pay now and have the jackets branded later.
The same question comes up in other forms: a department that has to spend its budget before year end, a new site opening before anyone’s signed off the branding.
Two ways to order before your logo is ready
Either way you order and pay now, and nothing is branded until you have approved the visual.
Logo ready in a few weeks
Our usual way
Easy to change garment colours or logo size before you approve, because nothing has been bought yet.
Logo months away, or a budget deadline
Lock in the stock
Garments, colours and sizes are fixed once the stock arrives. If plans change, a supplier restocking fee may apply.
What we’d normally do
Normally we don’t order any garments until you’ve approved the visual. Seeing the logo on the actual garment is when people change their minds. They go for a different shirt colour, a smaller logo or a new position. If we haven’t bought the stock yet, those changes are easy.

When we buy the stock straight away
If your logo is going to be a while, and especially if a budget has to be spent by a set date, we can agree to order the garments now. That locks in today’s price. Manufacturers update their prices from time to time, and if an order sits waiting over one of those updates, we can’t buy the same stock at the old price any more.
As with any order, you pay for it up front, so the money’s spent within your deadline. Once the stock’s bought, we keep it here until your logo’s ready, however long that takes.
To do that we need the full order: which garments, which colours, and everyone’s sizes. Those are fixed once the stock arrives, so it’s worth getting sizes right first. Every product page has its own size guide.
The catch
If the logo never arrives, or plans change and you no longer want the order, stock we’ve already bought can usually only go back to the supplier with a restocking fee, and we’d pass that on. Depending on how much work has gone into the order, we may also charge for our time. It’s all in our terms and conditions.
What I’d do
If your logo is a couple of weeks away, wait and approve the visual first. If it’s months away and the budget won’t wait, have us buy the stock now. That way the money goes on kit your team will actually wear, at the price you were quoted.
While the logo’s being finished, have a look at what a vector logo is, because that’s the file we’ll need for printed garments. And if you want to see how the proof works first, here’s how you get a visual before anything’s made. If it’s Dover jackets you’re after, they also come as a six-jacket bundle and a twelve-jacket bundle. If you’re kitting out a whole team, our workwear bundles are the quickest way to do it, with branded workwear for everything else.
Got a deadline? Tell us what you need and the date the money has to be spent by, and we’ll come back with the options.
